Weekends

I always really appreciate the weekends. I get to spend time with the people I love, do the things I don't get a chance to do during the week and now, bike ride!

Chris and I started our Friday night with our first show of 2018 'Cooking with Liz' (hah, the unofficial name), where Chris actually cooks and I just drink. But, it's a fun thing to do and show what we're cooking. We made Fusilli alla Vodka with Basil and Parmesan Pasta, and HOLY SHIT if you have a chance MAKE IT. And then we attempted to make a Neapolitan style pizza we saw on a show and failed miserably. Fortunately, the pasta really made up for it. Like, it was so good we made the whole bag of pasta assuming we'd save some for leftovers but we ended up literally consuming it all. Yeah, that good.

Saturday we woke up with the goal of riding bikes. Our destination: Early Bird; a tasty breakfast spot at the top of a hill. We weren't scared, so we made the trek. Chris killed it, I was slow AF because I conquered leg day on the previous Thursday. But, we made it both breathing hard and really hungry. We scarfed down eggs, hash browns and their EPIC pancake. Then we rewarded ourself with a downhill ride. It was cold, breezy, and refreshing to be out there riding. We then stopped and rode in the cutest neighborhood that we always pass by when driving in cars. Dream homes up and down the streets. The photos are of the house I fell most in love with. ONE DAY! We then rode to the local brewery, had a few beers, rode home and called it a day. Like I said, I love weekends.
